MINISTRY OBJECTIVES/GOALS
To live out God’s love by being open and inclusive in serving all through friendship and through our knitting going to wherever it is needed (currently to flood victims and refugees):
- Domestic violence victims
- knee rugs to Sinnamon Village and the PA
- Teddies for Syria
- Nepal Orphanage
- cotton beanies for babies in north Queensland
- beanies and singlets for babies in orphanages and hospitals in South Africa
- supporting Autie Jean’s work in Aboriginal communities
- orphanage in Chaing Rai
- Outback outreach
- Save the Children Fund
- beanies and baby tops for Homeless Connect
- BITA
- Knitting for Brisbane’s Needy
- Teddies for families experiencing suicide
- We respond to requests and have been going since 2012
WHO CAN COME
Anyone and everyone is welcome whether they can knit, want to learn or just need company.
WHEN AND WHERE, COST
IUC Foyer 2nd and 4th Friday of every month from 2pm till 4pm. No cost but we share responsibility for the afternoon tea.
